Get rid of the turboprops na lang! just kidding. I think that they should stay with 2P. How are the 5J ATR routes doing lately?

Maybe they want to tap the "non-LCC" market for the Caticlan and Busuanga flights. Though I do feel the turbo props do fit more in APX than PAL as APX also has routes from Cebu to the smaller islands more fit for prop services. Who would want to pay an expensive fare to fly to Sulu?

Was it "Philippines" or "PAL Express"? Wonder why PAL decided to go legacy services for places with small airports. Though I would agree that Caticlan and Busuanga gets upper end market, but how about the other places?
Also, will ALL Qs go to PAL? Or some will still be operated by APX? Lakas lang ng kutob ko, those Qs will again be operated by APX as there is LCC competition at destinations with small airports aside from MPH.

Think of it na we could earn miles when we go to Naga, Tuguegarao etc. They have to be generous lang to push further usage.

Sabagay, at least you got miles for those routes. I wonder how much the rates will go for these routes.

I already saw some of those Qs. All painted white. Perhaps waiting its new livery.
Up to now though, Im still mixed why PAL decided to operate again the props. Maybe someone can give a clearer explanation why. Paging Clarkent.

^^^ I think it has something to do with branding... I am also wondering why PAL is operating it again but I know those planes are really owned by PAL not by APX talaga.

Yes, PAL purchased them for their LCC brand before PAL Express. Maybe they have revenue reasons behind it too as to why PAL decided to get them under its name instead of leaving them with APX as an LCC service a/c. Its just puzzling me though. PAL is supposed to be a legacy carrier. Those other legacy carriers operating props has a different brand name for them too.

there something to do with earlier arrangement between PR and 2P of operating the Qs, but i wont elaborate more.
and by April, PR might come up with a sub-brand for these Qs.
