During the earlier times, many of the 737 accidents were cause by faulty party, one of which is the hydraulic pump controlling the vertical stabilizer rudder. On very low temperatures, the pump would stop working which would put the rudder on other an extreme left or right position. This would cause the aircraft to roll and later on crash. I think the new gen 737s has had this problem addressed, only after lives were sacrificed.

In this documentary, things are different, sections of the planes are unstable. Non aligned parts were hammered into place which they say shouldn't be that way, the parts were manually made kaya may discrepancy.

I am glad though that the new generation 737s are safer unlike the old ones. I think the 737-100s and 737-200s were the ones with many defects. Which 737 series crashed due to the rudder of the vertical fin? I think there were 2 of them, but both similar situations.
