Below is a video about the most powerful jet engine ever built, the GE90-115B. This engine produces 110,000lbs of thrust but has even attained 125,000lbs! The 777-300ER is the largest twin-jet aircraft in the world. Interesting to know that this engine is "bulletproof" too. Bird strikes, 4 tons of water per minute, and the engine did not stall.

A 777-200? I know SQ uses a 777-200 for Brisbane, right?

The 777 engine's very powerful. It so big I'd like to assume it's the same size as the cross section of a B737. It's very quiet for its size though. Enjoyed taking it on my flight to Tokyo!

Its about 5 inches shorter in diameter comparing it to the cabin diameter of an A320. So we can say that a GE90-115B can fit a 3-3 abreast seating arrangement. Thats how huge it is.

Another trivia. According to pilots who flies this, once the aircraft is airborne, power is reduced right away as the engines can make the 777-300ER climb at an astonishing 2000ft/min! It might be too much g-force to the passengers. But thats how powerful the GE90-115B engine is.

Nice info on the 777 engine. Do you also have a video for the Rolls Royce Trent engine for the 777?
The large engine is really very distinct looking at it head on. I was able to fly on PALs 77W last year and was in the front section where I got a good view of the engine. It was immensely powerful yet fairly quiet compared to the engines of PAL's 744 or A340. I know this because every night PAL's planes pass above the house (well not directly but fairly close enough to disrupt my watching TV late at night) and I always get bothered by the transPac flights at 8 and 10PM (PR102 et al).

Can't find any for the TR engines.
Basically, the GE90 engines just produces this high pitched tone when flying above, but thats relatively it. Unlike the 747s and A340s wherein they are really loud.
Check this video of the 77W taking off from NRT. You just hear that distinct high pitched tone. Reminds me of a Ferrari engine tone.

The 77W is for me the best-looking aircraft ever built ;D
And the GE90-115B makes it even more beautiful!

77Ws in PR colors look appealing too. I also like Egyptair and Emirates. For some reason, dominant white on an aircraft with a full colored vertical stabilizer looks really elegant. Oh, V Australia looks good too!
